VOL.44 began with a question: what if the advertising Japan never ran actually existed?

We design and print vintage style Japanese ad campaigns for ramen shops, car brands, soda companies, and department stores that were never real, drawn as if they were pulled straight from a magazine that stopped printing decades ago.

Every design starts from scratch, built frame by frame in the spirit of Showa era graphic design: bold type, halftone texture, saturated color, and a sense of nostalgia for a moment that never happened.

Each print is made to order on 200gsm museum grade matte paper, shipped worldwide, and framed by hand selected molding if you choose. No warehouse stock. No waste. Just prints, made when you order them.
